When we walked in, the host looked us up and down with disgust (since we weren't dressed up) and asked if we had a reservation. After saying no, we were told they may not be able to seat us even though less than a third of the tables were occupied, and he simply walked away from us. The manager then came around the corner, asked how many of us there were and sat us right away. Once seated, we waited almost 1/2 an hour and never had a waiter come to the table. I counted 10 waiters walking around and less than 20 tables occupied. Several waiters walked by the table and looked at us, but never said anything. At this point we walked out. I will never attempt to eat there again.

My wife and some friends dined here and I have to say it was one of the best steaks(12oz sirloin)that we have had in some time,(my wife is strictly a filet person but orderd the sirloin on advise from our friends who was here before and was very pleased), the employees and managers were the best of the best, our waitress was always on top of everything making sure we did not need anything, and the managers coming by and chatting with you like they knew you. We will definitely return very soon.

Absolutely the worst dining experience I’ve ever had. To celebrate two birthdays, we took friends with us to try the new fad steakhouse (5 people total). They do not take reservations or call ahead seating and on a busy Friday night at 7pm, we were told our wait would be around 45-60 minutes. We decided to stay and have a couple of drinks while we waited. Service at the bar was minimal. We were seated one hour and thirty minutes later. Waitress appeared 15 minutes after being seated.
We ordered and waited for our meals. After asking four times to see the owner/manager we finally were able to speak to him. Our meals appeared right before his visit, approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes after we arrived. When confronting the owner about our seating and service situation, he IMMEDIATELY began arguing with us stating “he could check the time we signed in to prove it wasn’t that long.” In disbelief of this unprofessionality, I noticed there was a hair in the oil beneath my french fries. I brought this hair to his attention while he was still at our table. He looked at the hair and then dug it out of the oil with HIS FINGER. Then he asked if I would like a new meal. Obviously, "yes?!" He was unapologetic and only after I refused to pay for this meal, did he comp my plate.
The steak was a good cut of meat; the highly salted stone provided it’s only flavor. The taste of sauces were thin, bland and unattractive. Lawry’s makes a better sauce off the shelf.
Our entire dining experience was well over 3 hours long. We stayed out of hunger and disbelief. When we showed up at 7pm, there were several open tables. The owner explained that they simply “weren’t seating people at those tonight.” I’ve hear of many horror stories afterwards from numerous people, some friends, some strangers about Steak on a Stone. We will never go back and hope other’s won’t as well. Save your money, and your time.

What a neat concept. The restaurant is very nice. I would suggest patience when visiting while still new. Don't think they anticipated how busy they would actually be after coming from such a small venue in North Olmsted to such a hot spot like Montrose. Been told they are understaffed but will be adding more help soon. The food is AWESOME and the experience a lot of fun! Went with a group of 8 and not one of us didn't like what we got. The steaks are huge cuts and succulent. I love the dipping sauces..mmmmmm! So much to choose from and the service was excellent.
