Easy Street Band

Easy Street's beginnings come from our first band - The Rats. We formed the band in 1971 as freshman at U of Akron. We played colleges, frat parties, high school dances, festivals, churches, coffeehouses, private parties, bars like; Fat Albert’s, Welcome Inn, Corral, the Basement & holes & dives. June of ‘76,added a couple new members, & became Easy Street. The band packed the house at Akron's Flying Machine & Filthy McNasty's in Kent & clubs from Columbus to Lorain. We honed our skills, started writing original, we hit the road w/ mini-tours of Canada, Dallas, Houston, El Paso, Denver, Miami, Daytona Beach, Tampa, Little Rock & Atlanta. We became synonymous w/ the term ``pride of Cleveland''.Lucky enough to share the stage w/ Meatloaf, Tom Petty, Southside Johnny, .38 Special, Pat Travers, Eddie Money, April Wine, Pat Benatar & Carl Wilson.
