Akron Symphony Orchestra: Gloria!

Christopher Wilkins leads the orchestra in a program of celebratory music that begins with Mozart's radiant Exultate, jubilate. James Lee's dynamic new score, Sukkot through Orion's Nebula, follows to create a glittering musical environment suitable for a feast. It was co-commissioned by the Akron Symphony.

Poulenc's Gloria concludes the program and shares with the Mozart a spirit of elation and hope. Akron Symphony Chorus Director, Maria Sensi Sellner, will conduct Gloria, which will be accompanied… Show more by the Akron Symphony Chorus. This concert also features acclaimed operatic soprano, Rebekah Camm.

Gloria! starts at 8 pm. Arrive early for the Previews from the Podium pre-concert lecture at 7 pm.
