Akron is home to many a musical breakout, and most of them began their careers at the Northside. This bar continues to bring Akron's best live music to you without a cover charge. The fried green beans are also a perfect match to accompany any of their cold beverages! Heres to many more years to come....Cheers!

I ate there on a friday night and was not impressed. The food was less than mediocre, wooden benches were uncomfortable and the room was drafty. I would not recommend this place and will go back to Barley House.

I have been playing music at the north side since the day it opened its doors as THE NORTH SIDE,Ive seen it go thrue many changes with the food and the owners,An this is bye far the best ive ever seen the place run.The new owners are great folks who trea the musicians as well as the bar staff with respect,It just keeps getting better...I want to thank the new owners for alowing me to have a place to display my music..GREAT PLACE!!!!!

I was actually in the night of the previous review and witness this gentlemen act like a complete baffoon to the owner and staff. I think his review of the bar is completely out of line. I have never seen a patron act with such lack of integrity he was told never to return because he was an ass. The reason it was slow at dinner time is because it is a bar and not a restaurant that serves complete gourmet meals. It is a burgers and beer establishment. I think that the new owners of the bar have done a wonderful job turning that place around and I applaud them! Northside is great place to go and hang out!! Keep up the good work!
