My wife and I eat at this restuarant for every special occassion...Reason being it is everything we want in relaxing dining..I even had my wife's college graduation party there..I recommend them and I plan on spending more of my hard earned dollars there..Thank-you Olde Harbor Inn

Went to the summer kick off party at the Lighthouse bar and grill last night. I had dinner before the band started. The server was pretty slow and unorganized, but very, very nice.I ordered my first drink at the bar. The barmaid was nice. I didn't tip, she must of taken notice of that (I don't tip for every drink, but I do tip well in the end). Each time I went to the bar I was ignored and passed over for people coming up behind me, at one point a customer had to point out to her (barmaid) that I had been there first. She rolled her eyes, asked what I wanted then proceeded to rudely slide the drink at me. I might add the first couple drinks were $4.00 then the price went up to $4.25 (not sure why). The barmaids were in bad moods ,never smiled and acted like they wanted to be anywhere but there. I will never go back to the Lighthouse again! I will be at Hookline and drinkers with my friends this summer.

I realize that Ohio state law says a vendor only has to recognize a gift certificate for 2 years, (and, yes, The Olde Harbor Inn thinks they're doing the world a favor by extending this to 3)... but, if a company is going to accept money for a gift certificate, they should recognize it at ANY time (until they go out of business). I had a 6-year old certificate. Fact is, the $50 that secured that certificate - no matter how long ago - is still $50 that helped build The Olde harbor Inn into what it is today. It is terribly bad business to accept cash, then turn your back on a customer just because the law says it's ok. This is THEFT. Apparently, I'm a serial certificate loser, but Quaker Steak recently accepted a certificate that was 11 years old. The Olde Harbor Inn has lost my business. Until they recognize what they have stolen.

Everyone reading this page should note that it takes more than an six hours for a live bacteria in food to actually cause illness. So, perhaps, instead of whining and moaning to a reputable independent restaurant owner, the poster, searchinspirit444, should consider other causes for their "illness." I have enjoyed food at the Harbor Inn for years without any sort of problems - the owners definitely know how to run a restaurant. If your're the whine, complain, and blame everyone else for your problems type, then avoid this restaurant. If you're looking for a fancy, fun, and enjoyable restaurant, then please come to the Harbor Inn! When searchinspirit444 learns to stop whining and blaming others for their problems, maybe he/she will actually be able to provide a helpful review to others. Take Care!

some friends and i recently met here hoping to enjoy the spring sun and water view....two of the three of us became very ill ...food posioning symptoms after eating the grilled salmon salad...crab cakes and chicken fingers...we discreetly left and i chose to call the next day to politely let them know to spare anyone else what we had gone through....while initially being polite, i was contacted by the owner who was very defensive right off the back more so then concerned by our health...i am very disappointed in the response...i have patronized them over the years and we and our social circle will not be going back due to resulting illness as well as the disappointing way they chose to deal with the incident... WE would not recommend the Old Harbour Inn
