Aim, focus and take your best shot during Photo Safari at Cleveland Metroparks Zoo. The Zoo's annual photo contest is open to all amateur photographers.
Participation in Photo Safari is easy. All photos must be taken on Zoo grounds and submitted to Cleveland Metroparks Zoo on photographic paper on or before September 1, 2008. Contest rules and entry forms will be available in Spring 2008.
During the contest, Photo Safari photographers will find special "photo opportunity" signs located throughout the Zoo. These signs are placed near key exhibit viewing areas to help inspire participants to take their best shot.
Adults (ages 12 and over) may enter up to three photos in the following categories:
* BIRD
* FRIENDS & FAMILY
* MAMMAL
* PLANT or INSECT
* REPTILE or AMPHIBIAN or FISH
Prizes will be awarded for the best photos in each of five different categories. A "Best of Show" winner will also be selected.
Junior amateur photographers (ages 2-11) may also enter the Zoo's Photo Safari contest.
