I have been in the exhibit trade show industry for over 25 years and have worked in all the major exhibit halls in the US.
The Privetly Owned IX Center in Cleveland Is a Strange place to have A REAL Trade Show.
If you are thinking about moving your venue there for the price PLEASE THINK TWICE no THREE TIMES. THe vp said his job was not to make the people happy. And they proved it time and time again. WE GOT DEMERITS(like in school) for things like leaving our exhibit space without an IX person with us.
We could not hold a tape for our client so he could put up a graphic. THE IX people yelled at both us and the exhibitor (we needed an IX person at $80.00/hr.
(minimum 2 hours))
There is so much more I could write about but I think you get the jist of my fustration.
IF any of our clients ever want to do a show at the IX center we told them we will NEVER work at the center again.
