Samira's Restaurant

Called at last minute for an anniversary
dinner. Got a great table overlooking the
river. Our server was on the spot with relaxed fun and timely service.
While she didn't realize it was a special dinner for us, her service enhanced the
enjoyment of the evening. The special of
the evening was SUPERB, a seafood linguini
with more seafood,scallops, lobster and shrimp than linguini with a delicious and
delicate white wine and herb sauce.
The view and atmosphere made for a very
enjoyable evening.

I have never met so many rude staff all employed in one place. From the arrogant, obnoxious owner (his wife isn't AS bad) down to the wait staff & bartenders. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. It's overpriced for what you get & why pay for such rude & obnoxious service?!

Come on, let's give Samira's a fair review now that it's been open under new management since December, '10. The menu is diversive and creative, and I've never had less than a great meal here. The drinks are amazing, and I've tried lots from the soup, salad, appetizer, main course and dessert menus. Try their live musical entertainment on weekends and check out the weekly theme nights. I've had no problems with service or using gift or credit cards. Give Samira's a try and enjoy the gorgeous view of the river.

Pleasant staff. That's where it ended. At least 1 1/2 an hour before our orders were taken, then we waited another 1/2 hour befor we received our salads Our reservation at 7:00PM turned into a 3 hour experience of continued delays and poor service. The crowning touch came when trying to pay the bill with a Visa Gift Card. We were told that the $100 card would only be acceped for an $80 ammount. When checking the card balance the day after I discovered that it was actually charged $96 !
Hold onto your money and skip this place

Arrogant staff! Barmaid looked at us 3 times before finally walking over to take our order, it took her 15 min to bring us menus, then almost a half hour to take our orders. During this time we watched and heard servers come and go from the bar complaining about their tables, and how stupid their customers were.
When out food arrived it was not only cold, it was not what we had ordered!!!!!
It may have a new name but it still has what made LeFevers famous, bad food and terrible service!

We went to dine at LeFevers to give it one more try, and to our surprise it was a new restaurant called The River Brasserie and Bar. From the moment we walked in you could tell it was a new restaurant with new energy and fun. The bar was busy with a jazz combo playing and it seemed people were really having a good time. After taken to a table the service was polite, friendly but not stuffy even though the setting lends to be more upscale. I will have to say that the food was what captured our attention, everything we ordered was of the highest quality and worth every penny. We will tell our friends and we will definitely be back!
