Kent State University’s Office of Sustainability and the Women’s Center are hosting a Bra Recycling Drive now through Nov. 2 to collect reusable or worn-out bras and reduce the number of textiles in landfills. Bras that are in good condition will be donated to the Phyllis Zumkehr County Clothing Center, and worn-out bras will be recycled. As a reminder, clothing can be dropped off to the Kent State Career Closet at the Women’s Center and clothing not used for the Kent State Career Closet is donated to the Phyllis Zumkehr County Clothing Center.
Bras that are washed and clean can be dropped off at the Women’s Center in the Williamson House, located at 1200 E. Main St. in Kent, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.; Tri-Towers Desk, located at Tri-Towers Rotunda, 24 hours a day 7 days a week; Student Recreation and Wellness Center, located at 1500 Ted Boyd Dr., Monday through Thursday, 5:30 a.m.-11 p.m., Friday, 5:30 a.m.-10 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, 7 a.m.-8 p.m.; or at the Office of Sustainability, Suite 101 in Harbourt Hall, located at 615 Loop Road, 8 a.m.-5 p.m, now through Nov. 2.
Cost: Free and open to the public.
