Water Street Tavern is a favorite amongst both Kent State students and the Kent community.
Water Street Tavern is the Official Post-Game Party Headquarters for Kent State Athletics and often hosts after-parties for Comedians, bands, and speakers at Kent State.

Water Street Tavern (formally known as "Glory Days", which had changed their name to change their image, as "Glory Days" was well known for bad service, rude employees, and an overall bad experience), hasn't changed anything but their name.
Completely over-rated. You'd be way better off visiting ANY OTHER BAR in Kent. Within 2 minutes of this dive, you can visit other pubs such as The Venice Cafe (great staff, atmosphere, and drink specials), The Zephyr (the most popular hang out for locals and KSU students alike), BW3's (awesome patio, wings, enough said), and Ray's Place (famous for being a frequent hang out for occasionally-visiting celebrity Drew Carey, the KSU alum).
Water Street Tavern, locally, is known honestly for being a dump. Trust me, don't waste your time, especially when Kent Ohio has so much to offer otherwise.
