Bad Food And Bad Business

Worst eating experience. I would give zero stars if possible. We went there for the first time for Sunday lunch on March 18th. I ordered their nachos for my meal after reading it's description of chips, olives, tomatoes, cheese, chili. My other three friends ordered burgers and of course my simple order came late after the others had already eaten about half of their meals. How is it that Nachos takes longer to prepare when it is not cooked but heated up to melt the cheese.
Anyway, I got my order and started eating. It was not long before I realized that there was no chili on it. At first I thought maybe it was on the bottom under the chips like some sort of dip. Remember, this is the only meat on the dish and probably the most expensive ingredient. So I dug down and no chili. I asked the waitress and instead of making another order correctly, went to ask her manager what to do. By now the others were done eating. She came back and said that since I started eating it the only thing they would do is heat up chili and bring me a bowl of it.
I am a firm believer that you should get what you pay for. I don't care paying as long as I know they are making what they say they will on the menu. The waitress said maybe the manager will take a couple of bucks off the bill. It was a $10 appetizer and it was about right. No, the manager would not budge. By now it was a matter of principle. The cook had not prepared it correctly, who by my fee was paid for their labor. I paid for all of the ingredients, even what was missing.
It was not the waitresses fault, a high school student. (still tipped her 20%) it's just I expected more from this cafe. Now I will never return there nor will I recommend it to anyone and will go out of my was to discourage business there.

A BIG RIP OFF

STAY AWAY STAY AWAY STAY AWAY!!!! This place is the BIGGEST rip off in Medina. Food is subpar and the prices are so out of line for what you receive it's not funny. It use to be that there were few quality restaurants to find in Medina proper but that's not the case now. Gary (Main St.) has had his monopoly for too long and continues to try and milk patrons with over priced watered down drinks and a menu that hasn't changed in almost a decade. You will not get the same quality of food in two visits. Oh, and if you plan on using one of those meal deal coupons – GOOD LUCK! I have friends that stated the server refused theirs, said that it was expired, said they could only use it during certain hours and refused using more than one coupon even after it was pointed out there was no expiration or clauses on the coupon. Not only has this place gone downhill since quality restaurants moved in..i.e. House of Hunan, Thyme, Cantina Per Vini etc., but Gary has continued his method of taking advantage of the public in his summer event "Rally in the Alley". $6.00 for a Coors lite draft beer is ridicules and ask any of the charities each Friday how much money they really receive after Gary has his greedy hands all over it. If you patronize the Main Street Cafe' for dinner, lunch or to hear a band, plan on shelling out a cool $100 without even batting an eye lash. Oh, did I mention the service sucks too? Perhaps the reason is due too so much turn over. My suggestion is to drive buy the restaurant on a Friday or Saturday evening and look where the crowd is…..next door at House of Hunan. Kind of speaks volumes doesn’t it?

A quaint, victorian restaurant

The ABJ has this listed as a coffee shop. It is a fine dining establishment with hip music, the noteworthy, Rally in the Alley and various bands that also play in the downstairs bar. Need to visit to appreciate. Maybe the creators of this website will provide a more accurate picture if they visit also. Good to dine here.
