The event will celebrate the longest day of the year with a group yoga practice featuring 108 sun salutations, beginning at 6:00 pm, at the Virginia Kendall “Ledges” area, Truxell Road, in the
Cuyahoga Valley National Park. The Yoga Festival will include live music, a yoga practice facilitated by Certified Yoga Teachers, an opportunity to picnic and celebrate summer with fellow yogis, and to watch the sunset from the Virginia Kendall Ledges. Participants are encouraged to arrive by 5:30, bring a yoga mat, water and a picnic for after the practice.
Free Akron Yoga was created by Nancy Holland Myers and Carrie Patterson Burchett in December 2009, to make yoga accessible to all people.
