Kendall Lake Winter Sports Center

Kendall Lake Winter Sports Center is the hub of winter sports activity in Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Visit the center to rent a pair of snowshoes and enjoy a peaceful hike on the trails surrounding Kendall Lake.

The shelter is located adjacent to Kendall Lake on Truxell Road (also known as Kendall Park Road). It is 2 miles east of Akron-Peninsula Road or 2 miles west of Akron-Cleveland Rd.

The center offers the rental of winter equipment, as well as ski and snowshoe instruction. Including hiking, walking or showshoeing with or without a park ranger on the Towpath Trail. The center will only be open on certain dates when there is at least 4 inches of snow.

Snowshoe rental will be available for $5 a day, and ski rental will be available for $15 a day or $7.50 for 3 hours.

There must be at least 4 inches of snow for snowshoe rental and 6 inches for cross-country ski rental. All rental equipment must be returned by 4pm. Call the 800 number to confirm snowfall.
